COURAGE MOUNTAIN REVIEW

Wolf Boy, the young son of a Sioux Indian chief, love his family and his tribe, but is faced with a terrible problem. Beaten at every wrestling match by a bully called Black Bear, Wolf Boy knows he lacks the courage and dreads disappointing his father and family. In spite of the odds, he tries hard to make them proud and finds solace in the time he enjoys with his dog, Snow. When Snow is taken from him by the Cheyenne, Wolf Boy vows to get him back, and thus begins his journey into the wild alone, a quest for his dog, but along the way he finds much more than he'd hoped for.
The ending was unexpected, touching, and one of the most satisfying I have ever read. This is a story not to be missed. I highly recommend this book for any readers, young and old alike.

SEASONS OF BETRAYAL

SEASONS OF BETRAYAL is the story of the Cherokee Indians who were forced to march 1,000 miles to the Oklahoma Territory.

While other Indian tribes were forced to march also, the focus of this historical fiction adventure is on the band of Cherokees located in the North Carolina mountains.

Today, there are still Cherokees in the Mountains of North Carolina. They are the contemporaries of those who hid in the mountains, and refused to march to a new land.

FREEDOM RIDER REVIEW

This well written tale of escape, by a slave family from Virginia, does the essential task of like historical novels. It gives the reader a good look into another world, time, and place.

Without sentimentality, and wallowing in degrading circumstances, it shows the life of Elizabeth, a fourteen year old slave girl. Once Elizabeth's father is to be sold off the plantation, her close knit family's ability to endure life in slavery reaches an end.

The pain, sacrifice, and the life-and-death struggles to escape, as well as the courageous efforts by both blacks and whites of the Underground Railroad, makes FREEDOM RIDER the kind of historical adventure not soon to be forgotten.

HOMEKIDS' REVIEWS

Thank you for letting me read your manuscript! Congratulations! I enjoyed it so much.

Victor Knox has given us a touching portrait of an extraordinary family struggling to survive one of America's most difficult times in history--the Great Depression. With great care to period details, Knox takes his characters on an interesting path that leads to hope through forgiveness.

--Dandi Daley Mackall, author of over 200 books for children and adults.

HOMEKIDS is a book that I will recommend to all of the young people as well as adults that I know. I found HOMEKIDS to be an uplifting read that made me think about all of the blessings in my life. Mr. Knox is a very talented writer, and HOMEKIDS is a great addition to anyone's keeper shelf.
